The Rega doesnt include a DAC, but the DAC in the Bluesound Node is perfectly good enough, and you can always add an outboard DAC later on if you wish. ![]() You can fill the stand with about 5kg of sand, which lowers the centre of mass by about 7cm, and means they definitely won't tip easily. LS50 bolted to filled stands are very stable - the speaker is 7.8kg, the empty stand is 4.85kg, so there's quite a lot of mass at the top if empty. The S2 Floor Stand provides the perfect platform for your speakers to perform. My space is too big, but certainly in the dealer's demo area they were impressive on their own, for the size. Noticeably better, and of course it gave me back the Bluesound streaming interface that I sorely missed. Without a sub in a small room, the LS50 will give quite reasonable bass. Next was a Bluesound Powernode 2, with twice the power. Certainly was a factor in my purchase of them, but I'm using a sub. The S2 stands do complement the LS50 beautifully, and do bolt together securely.
